We in the Pinzgau are proud of our own cuisine, we have funny names for traditional home cooking, which only exists in this region. But the range of restaurants, inns and alpine huts provides for plenty of enjoyment for every taste. We have put together some of our recommendations here.

Huwi’s Alm is the place to eat when it comes to cosy hut culture, hearty culinary delights and alpine chic. Mingle with the guests at the chalet – the Hut food and Ripperl come highly recommended – make sure to book and order in advance!
In summer, the Pinzgau Mountains offer a great backdrop with stunning views.

Kraller Alm
Right next to the hotel “Der Krallerhof” is the cosy, rustic Alm for après-ski, home cooking, lunch, pizza and Austrian cuisine.
On Wednesdays during winter, bar hopping is in order! Either before or after skiing, head to the Alm!

Kraller Alm
Alte Schmiede
The Alte Schmiede (Old Smithy) is the sister of the Kraller Alm on the Asitz, right next the mountain station.
During the day, you can hardly get past it, it is the ski hut in Leogang – inside it’s really comfortable, outside there is a large sun terrace.
During the winter, there is night tobogganing twice a week on the Asitz, beforehand, make sure to swing by “the smithy” and feast!

The Saliterhof is a 5-minute drive away from the BergHoch3, but it’s also reachable on foot via the Landstraße/cycle path through the village area of Lenzing (about 2km) and offers a wide selection from home cooking to pizza to international cuisine – a varied choice.
